ADLINK: rugged, high storage density and easy maintenance fanless Embedded computers

ADLINK Technology announces its new MXC-6400 Series of high-performance expandable fanless embedded computers, featuring 6th generation Intel Core i7/ i5/ i3 processors and the QM170 chipset. Along with leading performance, high storage density from 4x 2.5” SATA drives, and rugged fanless construction withstanding operating shock up to 50G and vibration to 5Grms, the MXC-6400 Series fully meets the needs of Intelligent Transportation Systems for rolling stock, maritime operations, in-vehicle infotainment, and high-speed data processing and mission-critical industrial automation.

The MXC-6400 Series’ 6th generation Intel Core i7-6820EQ/ i5-6440EQ/ i3-6100E processors boost computing power by up to 70%, delivering 100% faster graphics performance than previous Matrix generations, up to 3 independent displays are supported, accelerated HW media codecs enable Ultra HD 4K, dual-channel DDR4 2133MHz SO-DIMM sockets accommodate up to 32GB of memory, and PCI and 2 PCIe Gen3 x8 (or 1 PCIe Gen3 x16) slots fully optimize expansion.

ADLINK’s MXC-6400 Series is equipped with 4x 2.5” SATA III installation capability with RAID 0/1/5/10 support, via 2 hot-swappable 2.5” SATA III trays and 2 internal 2.5” SATA III ports, and 1 CFast socket. Storage maintenance burdens are relieved, and massive, flexible storage capacity combines with built-in data security to better empower intelligent transportation systems and niche IA markets.

ADLINK’s MXC-6400 Series simplifies such ownership tasks as installation and maintenance with a front-mounted I/O array providing support for up to 3 independent displays via 2 DisplayPort and 1 DVI-I ports enabling up to 4K UHD resolution, 2 software-programmable RS-232/422/485 + 2 RS-232 ports, 3 Intel GbE ports with teaming function, 6 USB 3.0 ports, and 16CH DI and 16CH DO.

The MXC-6400 Series delivers an optimal solution for intelligent transportation operations such as passenger information system and CCTV systems for rail transport and maritime control centers. 4x 2.5” SATA capability meets the large storage challenges of media streaming and surveillance content, and 4K UHD resolution support via DisplayPort delivers crystal clear imagery as required by high-res maritime navigation systems. Fanless rugged construction withstands up to 50G shock and 5Grms vibration and operating temperatures of -20 to 70°C (with industrial SSD or CFast), for reliable 24/7 operation in the most demanding environments. Rigorous operational verification testing assures the reliability and ruggedness critical for complete functionality in harsh industrial environments.
