A.R. Bayer DSP Systeme: SoM with Blackfin, Spartan-6 & DDR3 RAM
XynergyBF537 is a compact, flexible and powerful system-on-module based on a Blackfin ADSP-BF537 and a Spartan-6 FPGA. The FPGA has immediate access to a 64M x16 DDR3 RAM useful for bulk data processing. The module comes in a 200-pin SO-DIMM and has the same pinout as the notorious Cortex-M4 based XynergyXS SoM.
Besides the Blackfin BF537, the FPGA and the DDR3 RAM, the module boasts 128MBits of serial flash for configuration and data storage, an on-board 10/100 Ethernet PHY and more than 100 standard and general purpose I/O lines, of which up to 68 can be used as differential LVDS pairs. The module consumes no more than 1 amp at full speed.
A break-out board is also available with power supplies, CAN, UART, LAN, SPI, I2C and USB interfaces on standard I/O connectors. For software development for the Blackfin, Analog Devices' VisualDSP 5.x or CrossCore is required. For the Spartan-6 the free ISE from Xilinx is available for download at their website. A board support package comes with the hardware so that the user can immediately focus on his application.
