Kithara: real-time for universities

Kithara Software has announced the “Student Edition” of the »RealTime Suite«, which will be available for universities and colleges for the coming winter semester of 2017. Including the complete functional range of the software library, this version allows for an easy introduction to the programming of real-time functions.

The Kithara »RealTime Suite« is not only frequently utilized in industrial fields but has also been widely involved in research and education for a long time now. As a consequence and due to high demand, the Student Edition will provide a free version of the real-time function library.

The utilization of “hard” real-time capabilities in academic software applications is becoming more and more widespread. The functions of the »RealTime Suite« allow for the implementation of guaranteed reaction times in sophisticated application fields such as robotics, laboratory automation or machine vision, without the need for high time and cost investments. The Student Edition can be run during the whole current semester on multiple computer workstations.
