RuggON: mobile data terminal with bright seven-inch, high-resolution display

Ubiqconn's subsidiary company RuggON announce the MT7000, a durable, all-in-one vehicle terminal for fleet management, asset management, and Electronic Logging applications. The MT7000 offers a high-end seven-inch display, intuitive user interface with a multi-touch PCT touchscreen for the ultimate visibility.

The smart power management inside MT7000 features delay turn on and off which allows users to have enough time to move this device to second power source or safely shutdown without sudden power loss from car battery. The device is also equipped with protection scheme against abnormal power conditions, such as cold crank, load dump, reverse polarity, transient voltage dip, over-voltage, over-current and random surges.

MT7000 is also CAN bus (OBD II/SAE J1939) vehicle status monitor supported. Its inside out rugged design also protects the device from shock and vibration, along with IP65 rated for water and dust protection. To be able to cope with the most challenging environment, MT7000 is tested for wide operating temperature ranging from -30 to 60 °C. Moreover, RuggON's open API/SDK support allows users to easily develop custom applications. The MT7000's great hardware, flexibility, and support make it a fantastic platform for myriad in-vehicle applications.

Inside the MT7000's environmentally-protected shell is a powerful general-purpose PC with options for the Intel Atom E3815 or dual core E3826 1.46GHz CPU, and 2GB of DDR3L SDRAM. For data storage, there's a user-accessible internal mSATA SSD drive and an external, shielded microSD slot.
