Garz & Fricke extends portfolio by ultra-low-power NALLINO SBC and a new industrial display

The already very broad range of the ARM-based SBC line from Garz & Fricke is celebrating a further arrival with the NALLINO small form factor board. This space-saving embedded board with its i.MX6ULL processor by NXP, from the Cortex AT ultra-low-power class, as well as an extended temperature range is aiming at the market for applications with smaller display diagonals, such as 4.3-inch and 5-inch devices.

The board is to the greatest possible extent compatible with the previous NESO LT, VINCELL LT and SANTINO LT single board computers as regards form, fit and function. Alongside a wide range of industrial interfaces such as 100Mbit/s Ethernet, USB, CAN-Bus, RS485, RS232 and loudspeaker output, it additionally offers Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity as options. Also included in the NALLINO is a microSD card slot. The wide-range power supply unit allows input voltages of 9V - 32V DC, which opens up opportunities for applications in many different environments.

The on-board display interface supports 24-bit TTL, meaning that control of both 4-wire resistive and PCAP touchscreens is possible. Initially, the Linux Yocto operating system is supported. The SBC small form factor thus provides an optimum mixture of ample performance, current consumption, interfaces and highly attractive price. Pre-production samples can be delivered immediately. Launch of the series is scheduled for Q3.

A new industry-capable display by SGD (Solomon Goldentek) with a size of 7.0 inches is also extending the sales portfolio. With 1000 cd/m², it offers optimum legibility even in direct sunlight. Together with the extended range of operating temperature from -30 to +85 °C, the display is therefore ideally equipped for use in outdoor applications. The wide viewing angle of 80 degrees additionally makes it a natural choice for applications in which it is not always possible to read the device head-on.
