DATA MODUL: large-sized open frame monitors with high brightness and easyTouch function

DATA MODUL is extending its open frame monitor portfolio and offers also high brightness (HB) displays with diagonals of up to 31.5” now. High brightness is often the key technology, especially for applications exposed to daylight or direct sunlight. The ultra-bright 21.5” and 31.5” open frame monitors are perfectly suited for semi- and full-outdoor purposes. Both monitors are equipped with a full HD industrial TFT panel and ensure excellent readability, durable quality, and long-term availability. This makes open frame monitors from DATA MODUL to reliable solutions for the usage in POI/POS, ordering terminals, in vending machines, information terminals (such as interactive city/site maps) and in display windows. With high brightness values up to 1,500 cd/m2 and a high colour brilliance (16.7 million colours), exceptional readability and content presentation will be offered. Whether in portrait or landscape format, the monitors generate improved visibility and can be equipped with or without PCAP touch. With displays in this format range and brilliance the Munich digital signage specialist introduces solutions for additional applications and responds to the increasing need in this sector of the display market.

The most well-known indoor integrations of large-sized open frame monitors can be found at ordering terminals in restaurants, petrol stations, or at recreational facilities, etc. Especially the 31.5” monitor has been well established in those areas. Mostly, the monitors are mounted in portrait format and equipped with PCAP touch function; this makes the ordering process more convenient for customers and relieves the sales staff. Of course, optimised readability is also expected in outdoor areas. That is why DATA MODUL is launching the large size high brightness open frame monitors.

With the 21.5” and 31.5” open frame monitors, DATA MODUL provides two more high-class ultra-bright monitors which can be supplied with PCAP-MultiTouch and robust protective glass (up to 4 mm). The VGA, DVI, and DP video inputs offer the flexibility customers demand. The open frame mechanics allows easy integration of the monitors into existing systems such as in kiosks, vending machines, digital signage steles, and information terminals. By using the mounting standard VESA 100 (21.5”) and a mechanical design, developed by DATA MODUL, the monitors are prepared for flexible installation.

In principle, the configuration of every open frame monitor can be designed individually and independent of format. DATA MODUL works hand in hand with the customers by providing assistance and support during the entire process of product development. In that way a unique solution for every need is created. From the initial idea concerning the selection of components, the definition of the features, the software and hardware, the housing design, right up to serial production: Upon customer request, all open frame monitors can be equipped with and without touch functionality.
